Alongside our knowledge of fluid dynamics, our team focuses on improving process and data analysis to increase development efficiency.
The four main aspects of this are:
- automation
- data structure
- analysis tools
- cloud computing
One of the best things a department can invest in is the automation of manual processes. Automation reduces the amount your engineers must do to run meaningful CFD simulations.
A significant fringe benefit of automation is fewer errors, the more manual the process and the more user inputs required, the easier it is to make mistakes that can cause runs to fail or, worse, provide erroneous results. The latter can lead to wasted simulations and U-turns in development paths.
Sabe has helped many teams with varying levels of automation. These have reduced costs, saved time, and increased development efficiency through scripting to submit cases, automatic mesh repair and post-processing.
Once your simulations are complete, it is essential to collect your data uniformly and store it in a structured way. This can be achieved through scripts to access simulation data and process it using the same methods for all simulations. In addition, all your engineers should analyze data with commonality, allowing fair comparisons across areas and a more common technical language to create better team interaction.
Allowing Sabe to help you create structured data storage methods will save your team time finding the correct data they need. Still, perhaps, more importantly, it opens the gateway for more advanced data analysis.
Easy, structured access to your data is an essential part of an effective team.
The analysis of your simulation data is where your engineers can make significant steps forward to make more informed decisions and gain a greater understanding of their discipline. Sabe has developed custom tools for clients and internal data analysis in simulation and testing. Through our combined experience, we have worked with many different data formats and have excellent insight into best practices to view and compare your data.
A structured data source is paramount if your department or company are looking to the exciting future of machine learning for data analysis or even simulation. This is a top research area for Sabe, with grant applications developing machine-learning technology for fluid dynamics.
While larger companies may prefer to invest in on-site hardware for their computational power, Sabe has developed its cloud platform, consisting of HPC, virtual machines and storage. This allows Sabe to run on up to 13,000 cores at peak demand, with very little overhead when not in use.
The benefit of having our cloud cluster is that we don’t pay additional costs for our computations or licenses and can create powerful machines for post-processing.
Having developed this technology, we are happy to help our clients build their clusters and cloud platforms or simply use ours.
All, or part, of the aspects above, can be wrapped into a single desktop or server-based application by Sabe to provide your engineers with a one-stop-shop for end-to-end fluid dynamic development.
Clearing your engineers’ minds of all but the most important will improve your efficiency and understanding.
